visitors center Urabandai
Visitor center Urabandai displays information about nature and history of Urabandai for visitors. It is located in Urabandai area, Fukushima. Mt. Bandai is active volcano. It erupted in 1888 and rocks emitted from crator blocked river flow. That is why there are a lot of ponds in Bandai area.
When you enter it, you may be surprised at big beer specimen. Tsukinowaguma, litetal meaning is “Moon Ring Shape Beer ” lives in Urabandai and sometime people encounter them. So, we should know how to avoid meeting beers and deal with the situation that we meet them.
Interesting point of this center is “nature cooler”. Since it snows a lot, they store snow in warehouse in winter and they use it as cooler for main room in summer.
When you get to Urabandai, I recommend you should go to Urabandai visitor center first!
